My Best Trip to Date - Combined!!

Yes, I have posted where I saved 80% here, 60% there, but NEVER have I saved 62% COMBINED with my days worth of shopping.

It is hard to save HUGE in my area. We have a Safeway & Thrifway that both will "double" up to 4 coupons up to $0.50 each per SHOPPING TRIP. We have a small WalMart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, HiSchool Pharmacy,  and then we have a Rosauers. Any other shopping choices require a 30 minute or longer trip in the car and with the cost of gas here ($3.79/gal) forget it! If I can't drive 10 minutes to the store, then I don't need it that bad!!!

The summer sales are finally here though (I am anticipating the 4th of July sales that I know are coming). With my family camping more than 2 weeks total in the month of July, I want to get a bulk of that shopping done so I don't have to think about it!

My goal today was to get some camping snack type stuff and a few canned goods. Keep in mind, I live in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment, so space is limited, so I don't have the room to be the crazy coupon lady that has rack upon rack upon rack of stockpiled goods. I just have 2 racks in my kitchen! :-)

6 Mini Dreyer Ice Cream Cups ON SALE FOR $1.00 EA.
4 Easy Mac Cups ON SALE FOR $0.79 EA.
1 Lays Kettle Chips ON SALE FOR $1.99
3 Tony's Pizza ON SALE FOR $1.00 EA.
4 Western Family Canned Corn ON SALE FOR $0.59 EA.

I used $2.50 in coupons and got a $0.05 bag credit. I spent $15.95 out of pocket and saved 49% over all at this store.

Trip #1

4 Goldfish Crackers ON SALE BUY 2 GET 2 FREE ($2.59 EA)
4 Kraft Salad Dressing ON SALE FOR $1.49 EA.
4 Safeway Brand Spaghetti Rings ON SALE FOR $0.89 EA
2 Ronzoni Spaghetti Noodles ON SALE FOR $0.99 EA
1 Oven Joy Bread ON SALE FOR $0.97 EA

I used $3.55 in coupons, $16.00 in Club Card Savings. I spent $12.10 out of pocket and saved 62% over all on this transaction.

Trip #2

4 Ritz Crackers ON SALE BUY 2 GET 2 FREE ($3.29 EA)
2 Ritz Crackeruls for $3.99 (I had 2 peelies for Crackerfuls for FREE wyb Ritz)
4 Coke 20 oz. for $1.25 EA

I used $9.98 in coupons, $15.04 in Club Card Savings. I spent $ 6.79 out of pocket and saved 79% over all on this transaction.

The most pain in the butt thing about this is for Safeway, I have to literally leave the store and come back in in order to use another set of 4 doubles, but when I can get savings like this in my area, it is worth the extra 5 minutes!!
