My Can Challenge Shopping Trip

Ok, so I am trying to be even more frugal this year.  We had some bags of cans to be returned, so I thought I would challenge myself and only use that return money toward my purchase today and see how I could do.  I had my trips all planned out for Safeway and figured I would come in just a little over $5.  Well guess what? I did even better - take a look!

I returned all of my cans and had $5.45 to spend. I only ended up spending $4.41 (so I have $1.04 left!)

I purchased:

2 Barilla Pastas
2 Angel Soft Toilet Paper
6 Colgate
2 Lady Speed Stick
3 Ken's Dressings

I broke this up into 4 transactions so I could maximize the store doubler program and used the following coupons:

(3) $1/1 Ken's Dressing, 16 oz 01/13/2013 SS Insert (exp 02/28/2013)
