Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast Casserole

How does breakfast for dinner sound?  This is what my family enjoyed earlier in the week.  It was so yummy and filling, especially on a chill Fall evening.  The best part?  It took only about 45 minutes to prepare!

Ingredients:

6 eggs, beaten

1 lb. of ground breakfast sausage

8ct. of Lg. Refrigerator Biscuits (I used the buttermilk flavor)

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

1 package of your favorite country mix (I used McCormick's Sausage Gravy packet)

Preparation Directions:

Preheat oven to 375* and grease 13x9 casserole dish.  Brown sausage.  As sausage is browning, place beaten eggs in a small dish and mix in a splash of milk and salt and pepper to your liking.  Grate 1 cup of cheddar cheese and make gravy per packet instructions.  Break up biscuits into 1" pieces and place in bottom of 13x9 greased pan.  Then place cooked sausage on top of biscuits. Then add cheese on top of sausage, then pour egg mixture then gravy on the very top.  Bake uncovered in oven for approx. 30 minutes.  It is really that simple!  Enjoy!!!

*For a slightly different variation, try hashbrowns on top!
