Happy Halloween Everyone!
As a busy mom of a picky eater, it is sometimes challenging to come up with a creative way to get your child to eat a decent meal. With a fun holiday it sometimes makes it easier to get in touch with your creative side and make a fun themed meal.
On tonight's menu, we are having "Mummy Dogs" with Mac and Cheese and some Carrot Sticks. Yes, I know many critics out there would say that this meal is not "decent" in a means of being a truly healthy meal, however, on a busy day such as today with Trick or Treating and a Church Halloween Carnival to attend, convenience is a must for today.
So if you too are looking for something fun and easy for tonight, give this a shot! I found the recipe and photo just by googling Halloween Meal Images.
All you do is get some crescent roll dough (biscuits would work too just flatten them out first). Make into strips and wrap around your hotdogs - we use the turkey ones in our house just to be a little healthier. Bake in the oven per dough instructions on package + add 3-5 minutes to ensure dough is cooked all the way through, but don't over cook and burn! For eyes, use a dollop of mustard or ketchup. Serve and enjoy!
These are so cute! And I bet they taste delicious! Thanks for adding this to my Halloween Linky! I really appreaciate it!
